3D Printing

Printer #2
Tim Boose

I am starting to build a re-spooler for the large rolls of ASA. Today, when I tried to load the white ASA into printer 2, it would not load. The black PLA filament that was in the nozzle came out, but when the white started to feed into the nozzle, it stopped and wouldn't continue to load. I tried at a higher nozzle temp, but no change. The filament would not pull out, so I cut it and moved to printer 3.

Does anyone have any thoughts on how this can be resolved?

Thanks for working on that. ASA ptints between 240 and 260. It should ask the temperature as you load. I would also use 90-110 bed temp and 40 chamber temp

Printer #2 is now fixed. I was able to preheat the nozzle to 250 then pushed the filament down into the gears with a screwdriver so it would come out. Tested again and filament now loads OK. 🙂

Layton had some cleaning filament last night and I did a bit of reading. It is something we may want to consider doing on a schedule.https://all3dp.com/2/3d-printer-cleaning-filament-how-to-clean-nozzle/
