Belt Sander Dust Catcher
Author Last Post

I would like to take this time to thank whoever made this "janky" solution years ago. It has served the Makerspace well for years. Be it the best they could do, or meant to be temporary. It is important to recognize the efforts of all those who came before us regardless of any shortfalls their solution has. I look forward to seeing what the next person contributes to this part of our dust collection system.

Its been janky for a while, but seems to be wanting to give up finally.

Noticed last week the bolts werent really holding to anything, and this week it got proper knocked (love a piece of what im sanding flying off the rest of the whole) and proved the bolt holes are more just...holes.

Im too exhausted to figure out a in-the-moment fix, so ive removed the piece and put it on the far desk by the cnc computer. Potentially just needs a different size bolts? Couldnt tell if the screw holes were partially stripped.

But really, might be good to figure out a new dust catch cover piece, that isnt being held on by four bolts and a piece of scrap wood?
